From The Vault
Starting with something I wrote for Volata back in Spring 2015
Now then! Having never made a conscious effort to make a record of most things I’ve been lucky enough to do in my career so far, I thought I’d start posting a few under a new section.
Volata - issue #4
Right at the start, when I was still finishing my Masters degree in Madrid, I had a short spell as an intern at Eurosport Spain. Editing and checking news items for the eurosport.es website, writing football match reports, checking the live scores and blogs, this was the first real contact I ever had with a live editorial scenario.
Fast forward a few years, and I was asked to contribute a couple of bits of writing to a brilliant Spanish cycling magazine, Volata. They were doing a themed issue on Cycling in Britain, and this was the first piece I’d written in any language for a few years.
The description of the issue before it sold out was as follows:
10€ / 124 páginas / Dos portadas a elegir.”
The magazine is still going strong. If you’re a Spanish speaker, give their website a visit.
